Thank you for your interest in hosting Mars Hill College students for service learning and internship opportunities at your agency or organization. We are excited about our students working with you in the community.

One of our commitments in the LifeWorks Learning Partnership at Mars Hill College is to help students connect their learning in the classroom with experiences outside the classroom. We try to provide a wide variety of service learning and internship opportunities for students across the disciplines.

Attached is our initial site application form that we would like for you to complete and return to us at your earliest convenience. The site application form asks you to provide information about specific opportunities within your organization. For example, if you work with MANNA Foodbank, you may have projects that relate to direct service, delivery of food, horticulture, education, accounting, fundraising, special events planning, and web-development. These areas would be of interest to students who are majoring in a wide range of disciplines.

We also ask that you think about how much time you would like for students to spend at your agency or organization. Students are looking for opportunities that range from a one-day volunteer project to an internship, which would last a full semester. Please fill out the appropriate times on the site application form that would work best for you and your agency or organization.

Please consider all the different projects with which you could use student assistance, and include this information on the site application form. As soon as we receive your form, we will contact you to follow up on the information about specific opportunities that you provided on the form. Then, the information about your agency will be entered into our database that contains information about jobs, service learning opportunities, and internships.
